Characteristics of true people from the book vs False people from the book
True people of the book (The Torah and Bible) guard the trust if given to them and return when it is asked by the owner.
False people of the book claim that a thing kept in their custody is theirs for they do not return it to the owner for that owner is uneducated or other such reasons as excuses for not returning it.
True people will keep the promise fearing Allah. False people will break the promise and exchange the truth for some benefit. Allah says for such people there is no good in the hereafter. In hereafter, Allah will not speak to them not will see them not will purify them and for them, there will be severe punishment.
True people read the holy books as they are revealed while the false people will pretend and would read in a way that listener would confuse to find it from the holy book that in fact would not be from the book and they would say it is from Allah by the fact it is not from Allah and they know it despite they tell lies about Allah.
Allah says it is not a good thing that any person to who Allah has given the book, the wisdom and prophethood and that person spread that worship him and not Allah. This claim would be made by the false people where the true people would say worship only Allah for we teach the holy book and also read from it.
True people would not order or command to worship angels and prophets for why would they do that it when other people have become obedient to Allah and why would they command to disbelieve. Allah says true people would never say that except those who are false.
Allah says to the prophets and takes pledge from them that Allah gives them the book and the wisdom and that when the last prophet of Him would come, you would believe in him for he would come to prove true to all of you and help him. All prophets agreed and took the responsibility to support him and spread a word for his being the truth-prover and the last prophet of Allah. Allah says those who would break the pledge, they would be the disbelievers and nothing else.
Such false people from the book have caused people pain and suffering and has contributed to make the world a living hell for the innocents. But their rewards are much higher than their temporary worldly gains, they would be punished in this world and hereafter, for sure. May Allah bring them disgrace and humiliation in this world and hereafter. Ameen..
Note: All such characteristics are taken from the Holy Quran (Surah Al-Imran, verses 75 to 82).
