RG REFLECTIONS

Reflections on Faith, Society, and Clarity.

Miracle or no Miracle!

A desert, no food, no compass for the direction, they could be dead out of hunger or lost forever without finding a way out; yet, Allah had mercy on Bani Israel. Bani Israel asked Hazrat Musa (A.S) to ask Allah for the food. Allah supplied them with heavenly food of Mann (a honey like but white substance) and Salva (a small bird in flocks came flying towards them for their food). Allah showed them the direction too. They got everything they needed once Hazrat Musa (A.S) prayed to Allah and asked for favors for his people.

I wondered why Allah didn’t reveal food from the heaven for the tribe of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad peace be upon him when they were boycotted and cut economic and social ties by the people of Makka for three years. They ate leaves, many remained hungry, children cried out of hunger that a dried leather was boiled and its water was given to the children so that they had some relief. Those were the hardest days, extreme hunger and poverty overwhelmed them still no heavenly support came.  No miracle happened.

Have you wondered why?

When heavenly food came and miracles happened for the disobedient people why not then when people were obedient and God-fearing??

The answer is simple but deep.

It was a test and a lesson at the same time. Test for the believers to hold their spirit high and still follow Islam and lay their everything for remaining steadfast, courageous and holding the truth above everything else. It was time to show it was better to remain hungry than go back to accept the falsehood.

It was a lesson for the rest of the Muslim Ummah then, now and future that in the way of Allah there would be hardships, tests and trials, some times risk of lives and temptations to exchange faith with the falsehood would be triggered. At that time who chooses to remain a believer is the point.

It was the lesson that the way of Allah would require faith in Allah and raising the word of truth and never give in to the force of the falsehood and never give up the values of Islam out of fear, hunger, hardships, difficulties and fear of losing lives of themselves and near and dear ones.

This was the lesson for the Muslim Ummah for forever; henceforth, no Mann-Salva was revealed upon them but clear true spirit of resilience, persistence and safeguarding their faith over anything else of the world was all that beheld.

Holy prophet Hazrat Muhammad peace be upon him gave us another message of Allah. The messenger of Allah said Allah has given us humanic capacities, expertise, skills, wisdom that is only programmed to tackle worldly issues and resolve them, and to stand on that path requires self and societal struggle for achieving success.

The messenger of Allah gave us the message that miracles can happen, Allah has full power of doing that but Allah likes to see the use of the capacities that Allah has given to humans. Allah’s help and human ‘will’ to try and stand brave before hardships is a thing for which Allah applauds humans and feels proud of His Abd.

Would you be resilient for holding your faith or would exchange it for the cheap reward and ease of the world??
