Allah entitled man supreme, wise, leader, strong and one degree superior to woman for being the breadwinner (Surah An-Nisa; 4:34; Surah Al-Baqarah; 228).
Ignorance eroded the words Allah taught man who started believing woman inferior, fragile, insane (not wise) and unworthy.
Woman got into a trap of validation and accepted the false challenge to prove that she was equal to man.
She tried herself in every field and outshone. Now she is in man-powered mills to space.
But have you ever wondered who benefited more in this challenge? Woman or man?
Let’s understand the equality first. Allah gave equal status of honor to man and woman for different responsibilities.
Allah has endowed unique characteristics to man and woman. Allah made man Abdul Raheem from His name Al-Rahmeem to embed the characteristics of mercy in man.
Likewise, Allah is “Rabb” “The Nurturer, Caretaker, The Sustainer”. He embedded the characteristics of nurture in woman ( Surah Ar-Ra’d 13:8). Allah chose woman to nurture His creation and bring them to this world from the World of Souls. This nurture comes with wisdom, great emotional intelligence, leadership skills and discipline. Allah kept the greatest rewards for her in that responsibility, made her leader of home-making, nurturing, educating and sustaining values and fear of Allah. The great responsibility of its sort without a comparison and competition for validation.
Rather accepting and respecting the responsibilities endowed by Allah to both genders, man ridiculed, humiliated woman and claimed the supremacy instead of being humble for the entitlement Allah gave him.
To the fact, woman can do anything she wants, has potential to contribute to the society, can opt to any profession like many women in the times of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) were businesswomen, doctors, warriors, quality assurance officers, and narrators. She can become independent by her choice not by imposition of man. She can earn to support herself, her dreams, her family if she is willing to, has time and energy for it. Going out for earning when man has ignored his responsibilities and imposes woman to do his part of job is a serious concern for the society.
Woman is divided into groups; earn to support the family; earn to prove man her worth. Both roles seem the same but are quite a lot different.
Woman earning to support the family is her dedication to nurture and fulfilling her entitlement. Woman earning to prove man that she can do everything even his part of responsibility is not freedom but a false entrapment. This makes man an idle, a carefree and a jerk.
Raising a jerk is not a woman’s part of job. Instead make him do his part of job.
Dear woman don’t burden yourself with unnecessary challenges imposed by man in guise of his own benefit.
Be comfortable in your own space and skin. Your job isn’t less than that of man. You need not to compete for unnecessary fulfillment of man’s wishful thinking about woman to be unworthy.
Allah has kept great worth in woman by choosing her for His creation to be brought in the world, taken care of and nurtured. Choose any profession you want but not for accepting the challenge of man to prove but to make yourself proud by doing what you want, accepting the womanhood.

This is really made me think about how we often confuse equality with competition. Women do not need to prove their worth by doing everything men do. Both men and women have their own strengths, responsibilities, and importance. The real equality is respecting each other’s roles and giving everyone the freedom to choose their own path. A meaningful message that made me look at this topic from a different perspective.
