تکذبان “Tukazzbaan”

The Holy Quran invites us to think, reflect and takeaway. 

We have been through Surah Al-Rahman several times. There are many things to think and reflect on. 

I have been through it too. Recently, I learnt the literal meaning of the word “تکذبان”. In Arabic, there are categories of numbers like only one, ‘Ahad’, dual number referring to “both (two)” and last category is for more than two or plural numbers. 

When I recited word ” Tukazzbaan” that hides a number “aan at the end of the word” that is used for”both”, I wondered why Allah is referring to two (both)?  Is Allah not referring to all of us? Who are those two (both)? Why not plural term for all of us?

To find the answers, as always I searched. Allah showed the path, Alhamdulillah and He gave me the answer. Allah made me learn that I didn’t know for my life. 

Tukazzbaan (تکذبان) indicates two species and Allah refers these “two” to “Mankind and Jin”. For Allah has given will power to ‘both” to choose the right or wrong. 

Allah has not only given His blessings to mankind but Jins and requires both species to be grateful watching the signs of Allah. 

May Allah make us grateful for everything Allah has given us and give us patience when Allah takes His blessings back. May Allah make us from those who He never deprives of. Ameen.
